A Case of Spiegelian Hernia

Abstract

|
Spiegelian hernia is a rare lesion among hernias. A patient with Spiegelian hernia is reported.
This 54 year-old obese house-wife, had a mass with slight tenderness in the E.L.Q. -of `the abdomen,"-which grew in size gradually up to walnut size for these 10 years. This hernia was proved to be
subcutaneous in type and treated by double mattress suture without removal of hernia sac because the sac was flat and wide-mouth at the ring.
Brief literature on the subject is reviewed.
